The Ford F-150 has been a very popular pickup truck in the automotive market for decades due to several reasons. For 2021, the new Ford F-150 has even more to offer drivers than before. The 2021 Ford F-150 is now slightly more powerful than the previous F-150 and has several new features, like a hybrid variant and additional configurations, for occupants to enjoy.

Performance Features

The 2021 Ford F-150 is available with several different V6 and V8 engine layouts. The smallest of the V6 engine layouts is a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter engine that produces 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. The only V8 engine of the 2021 F-150 lineup is a 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The 2021 F-150 lineup also has a hybrid powertrain that combines a 35 kilowatt electric motor with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine to produce 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque.

Exterior Features

The exterior of the 2021 Ford F-150 has been slightly modified from the 2020 F-150 model. Among the several new exterior features are the active aerodynamic features that help increase the fuel efficiency of the 2021 F-150 models. The front grille and front air dam of the new F-150 model both operate actively to help reduce the aerodynamic drag on the 2021 model.

Safety Features

The 2021 Ford F-150 includes several helpful standard safety features in every model and trim level. Automated emergency braking, which assists drivers in stopping when objects are in front of their vehicles in close proximities, is standard in the new F-150 model. Additionally, Adaptive Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist are both standard safety features in every trim of the 2021 F-150; these two features assist drivers with staying in their lanes and alert drivers when they are deviating from their lanes.
